- Usage Analytics: Basic analytics about how the app is used (e.g., which features are popular, app crashes) to help us improve the experience.
We do not collect: Your name, email address, phone number, location data, or any other personally identifiable information. No account is required to play.
How We Use Information
The information we collect is used to:
- Calculate and display your percentile rankings compared to other players

- Improve the app based on aggregate usage patterns

Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Placemark:
- Supabase: Our backend database provider, which stores game session data. Supabase is SOC 2 Type II certified.
- Vercel: Hosts our API services.
- Apple (App Store): Distributes the application and may collect analytics if you've opted in on your device.
Data Retention
Game session data is retained indefinitely to maintain percentile rankings and allow you to view your game history. If you wish to delete your data, please contact us using the information below.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission and secure cloud infrastructure.
Children's Privacy
Placemark is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since no account or personal information is required, children can safely enjoy the game.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your data, including the right to access, correct, or delete your information. Since we collect minimal anonymous data, there is typically little personal information to manage. Contact us if you have questions about your data.
